Hinduism National thos and Culture, not Narrow Religion - says Supreme Court

Hon’ble Supreme Court of India says in Dr. Ramesh Yeshwant Prabhoo Vs Shri. Prabhakar Kasinath Kunte dated 11.12.1995 [reported in 1996 AIR 113] that “the term Hinduism encompasses the culture and ethos of the people of India, depicting their ay of life and is not a narrow religious idea." Hindu Spiritual and Service Foundation,a public charitable trust exempt under section80G of the Income Tax Act 1961, has adopted, in its trust deed, the meaning of the word "Hindu" and the term "Hinduism” as given by the Supreme Court.

About HSS Fair

The Hindu Spirtitual and Service Foundation (HSSF) was formed by Global foundation For Civilisational Harmony (in which spiritual organisation and leaders belonging to Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism, Islam, Christianity and Judaism converge) to encourage and promote service to humanity, Swami Vivekananda, the patriotic monk of India promoted public services on the ancient Vedic principle of “Atmano Mokshartham Jagat Hitayacha” meaning “Salvation Through Service to Humanity”. The Fair has thematic features, original exposition and contemporary messages.

The Programmes in the Fair and Pre-Fair are integrated philosophically.They explain and practically expound how Hindu spiritual values and the traditional Hindu lifestyle provide solutions for the critical Contemporary issues burgeoning across the globe – Environment, Ecology, Pollution, Human Values, Honour of Women, Patriotism.

The Fair demonstrates that Hindu Spiritualism and Life Style is based on the following:-

These values constitute the thematic pillars of the Sixth Hindu Spiritual and Service Fair. All the programmers at the Fair are designed to connect high Hindu spiritual values to daily lifestyle by Themes, Samskarams and Symbols.

The Fair packages and presents the samskarams to internalise the themes – the Samskarams [mental and psychological training].


Introduction of Shri Swaminathan Gurumurthy

Shri Swaminathan Gurumurthy is one of India's well-known professional Chartered Accountants, a highly respected and sought after Corporate Adviser. He became the friend, guide and philosopher of the redoubtable Mr. Ramnath Goenka, Founder of The Indian Express when he was 27 and client at the age of 72. Shri Gurumurthy was undoubtedly a brilliant chartered accountant and exceedingly an astute lawyer who became the closest and trusted counsellor of Mr. Goenka on all matters. Mr BGVerghese, a renowned Editor, in the Biography of Mr. Goenka described Gurumurthy as an outstanding economist, financial advisor and accountant.

Apart from his achievements as an investigative journalist and a writer, Gurumurthy's original thinking on economic issues influenced the corporate India. He meditated and amicably resolved the biggest corporate issue between Grasim and L&T. He advised on the de-merger of the cement unit of L&T in favour of Grasim.

He was repeatedly rated among the 5o most powerful people in India from 1990-till date. He is the only person to appear so many times on the list. He is known to be informally advising many political leaders, parties and even governments on highly important matters of the state and the nation.

Initiative For Moral & Cultural Training

IMCTF — tax exempted charity for promoting environment, respect for parents, elders and teachers, honour of women and patriotism, consistent with Art 51A of the Constitution

The Initiative for Moral and Cultural Foundation [IMCTF] was formed in 2014 with the object of implanting and inculcating values in young boys and girls on the theme “Value Building is Nation Building” which work was being carried on from 2012 by a team of highly motivated social thinkers, social workers, educationists and activists. The innovative training modules built by the IMCT team to build values among students in schools in Chennai was run away success which led to the formation and registration of the IMCTF in 2014.


The Vision of IMCTF is as following:

  • To reach out all educational institutions inspire and motivate them to adopt its distinct and unique Samskarams.
  • To shape the mind, thinking, conduct, character and lifestyle of young Indians.
  • To influence and inspire the young boys and girls to revere and respect parents, elders ,teachers, women, nature and nation.
  • To prepare the young minds to measure up to their national and global responsibilities of Bharat that is rising as Geo-political, economic and cultural power.
  • To present an alternative-paradigm of life for the world, based on the time-tested and timeless eternal values of Bharat to the world at cross-roads.
  • The IMCTF believes that Moral Virtues and Values build Families, Societies and the Nations to harmonize the World. IMCTF’s motto is “Value Building is Nation Building”

IMCTF Mission:

The IMCTF’s mission is to serve by implementing the voluntary participation of all stake holders - schools, management, students, parents and public. The IMCT programmes are an innovative methods to sensitize the young minds who participate voluntarily.

The IMCT uses symbols and symbolisms to build reverence towards Trees & Wildlife, All Living Beings, Nature, Parents, Elders, Teachers, Women and Nation.
