Hinduism National thos and Culture, not Narrow Religion - says Supreme Court
Hon’ble Supreme Court of India says in Dr. Ramesh Yeshwant Prabhoo Vs Shri. Prabhakar Kasinath Kunte dated 11.12.1995 [reported in 1996 AIR 113] that “the term Hinduism encompasses the culture and ethos of the people of India, depicting their ay of life and is not a narrow religious idea." Hindu Spiritual and Service Foundation,a public charitable trust exempt under section80G of the Income Tax Act 1961, has adopted, in its trust deed, the meaning of the word "Hindu" and the term "Hinduism” as given by the Supreme Court.
